Recipe Costing

Recipe Costing: This feature tells you how much a recipe will cost which is excellent for catering services. Whenever an ingredient is added or removed from a recipe, the recipe's cost is automatically calculated. Resizing the recipe (changing the yield quantity) also re-computes the total cost in preparing the recipe. This saves you a lot of time and headache as compared to manually calculating recipe costs.

The three ways to calculate the selling price of the recipes and menu are the constant, gross profit and the food cost percentage. The property administrator or the global admin can set what type of pricing calculation they want to use. A default-pricing factor can also be set up in each property or for the whole company, with the flexibility of being able to change it because each recipe or menu may have a varying target profit depending on its popularity.

The software automatically suggests a selling price based on the targeted food cost or profit margin you defined.
